YES IT DOES!!! One reason for me was that the high blood pressure medicine I was taking was a diuatic (sp. sorry) and that it would make you pee.

Secondly, my doctor explained that obesity causes incontinence for different reasons and when you lose weight the incontinence can stop. And my did!!

Just another reason why GBS was the right choice for me!

That can also be a symptom of sleep apnea. If you haven't had a sleep study, might not be a bad idea.

YES YES YES !!!:) That was the first thing that went away.. I didn't even realize it until about day 2 then it hit me I wasn't dribbling anymore. But with all the moving around of the organs I guess the intestines sit on the old bladder. It was a welcomed surprise.

As a Urology Nurse practitioner I can tell you weight loss will help, yes. That being said you should see a Urologist who specializes in incontinence when some of the weight is off if it contiinues to be a problem. There are three types of incontinence, urge, stress and mixed and there is lots we can do to help people.

I am at my wits end! I had GB 2 1/2 yrs ago and my urinary incontinence at night has increased 100%. I’ve seen a Urologist and a specialist who handles Urinary incontinence and I’ve done the sleep apnea study. They’ve given me medications nose spray nothing works. I can’t even find a depends or diaper that don’t leak. I’m 62 years old and I feel like I wish I was 90. I’m so disgusted. I have complete control of my urine during the day but at night I get into a heavy dream state and I wake up and I have already gone to the bathroom. This happens to her three times a night. I’m getting zero sleep.
. What are types of medications people have tried?
. Can anyone recommend a depends or a diaper that absolutely asleep proof?
Does anyone have a sex life with this issue?

Wow! It just occured to me after reading your post...I am 4 weeks post surgery and I no longer get up in the middle of the night to pee, even after drinking 64 oz. of water. I can’t ever remember not doing that.

I can't think of any solution except to try using a super Kotex pushed into your depends. Might work
