My insurance denied my appeal again. I don't know what more information I can provide them to show that I have jumped through all of their hoops. I don't know if I can keep fighting. I guess I could wait another year when I have full blown diabetes etc and see what they say then. Or, just say fu*k it and just resign myself to the fact that I will be fat the rest of my life...seems hopeless. I know I sound like I am feeling sorry for myself. I guess I am. I was thinking positive and really looking forward to joining you all on the "loser's bench".

Ricky is right in several ways. Your bariatric coordinator should in contact with your insurance company and finding out EXACTLY what they want. Then, YOU should be making you you meet those requirements. You cant miss a weigh in, you cant

You have to do exactly what they say . You have to remember that insurance is a business for profit and they will do everything they can NOT to spend their money. If you cross your T's and dot your I's, what excuse can they have to deny?. Yeah, its tedious process, but if you want it bad enough, you will jump through their stupid hoops and come out smiling on the other side!!

Ricky and Can't be happening are correct. Your bariatric office must have a insurance/patient coordinator(mine did), it is their job to get all the paperwork in place. The dr wants to do the surgery, but certain requirements must be in place. Find out "exactly" what requirements you are missing and what you need to do to speed up the process. d

I think I might know the problem, your 6 month supervised diet by missing the dietician the one month probably reset your 6 month count down. I know my surgeons office told me right off the bat that if i missed one month at all I would have to start all over again with the 6 months. I understand yours was on vacation but there had to of been someone else you could have seen. If that is the case it is something that I would take up with the surgeons office.

You can appeal it again, or you can go to Mexico and pay to have it done by a board-certified surgeon there. Others have done that with great success. But don't stop fighting for yourself and your health.
