I miss food!

I'm only 2 weeks out and am still on liquids, but I miss food! I still can't even tell if I'm hungry or full, but I miss eating regular food. I'm so sick of protien shakes that I could puke. I just want a little of something solid and savory. Sorry....that's my rant for the day

I'm with healthydiane, I am so thirsty!!! I am almost 4 weeks out, Amber I feel the same way you do, but I can't believe it's already 4 weeks. I have been posting similar discussions, actually you sound just like me. At 4 weeks, and after reviewing what I can and can't eat beginning this 5th week of my new life, I feel as though I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Please, post all your frustrations here, connect with, and make new friends, a few of these great people have been nice enough to exchange cell numbers and we text,, and we text all day long, every day. These people had surgery right around the same time I did. They are what got me through this. But keep in mind, and I read it again here on one of the replies to your post, this is not the easy way out, for me, this has been the hardest thing I've ever done for myself, but it's the best thing I've ever done for myself. Stay busy,,, keep your mind occupied, look in the mirror and tell yourself,,, I'm worth all the hard work...

I am in the same boat with you. I have 6 more days till I see the surgeon and hopefully move to pureed(YEA!!!)! I am saying it also how I need something to chew, sugar free popsicles aren't cutting it! It's just, you miss the chewing part!

Before we know it, this too will be a distant memory and we can say WE DID IT!!! Just think how your body is thanking you big time!! Keep going, you're doing great! :-)
