Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I'm sure you've heard it already... but walk walk walk... and as soon as able.... sip sip sip! :)
One thing I started doing quite a few surgeries ago that has paid off is to have them help me take a shower before i come home. They have all the handicapped accessible stuff, plus they help. It so is worth it cuz I come home feeling so much more human, and then I don't have to worry about bathing at home for a couple days. I've learned to tell them EARLY so they have time to get in to help. And to bug them over and over so they don't get busy and forget! I just take all my own toiletries and get-er-done!
