My highest weight was 376lbs and i am now 221 thats a entire person gone forever. Ive only 70lbs since my surgery but all together im down 155lbs. Its exciting my family says that i dont look like ive lost much and a bunch of other bolongie, but number dont lie...

Oh my goodness! This is amazing, and you must be so thrilled! The more and more I read on here about other peoples experiences with bariatric surgery, the more I am getting convinced to give it a go. What surgery did you have? How long was your recovery time? Were there any complications? Congrats to you on your weight loss!

I had the ryn and i did have some complications so it took me longer to recover, but dont let that scare you. There are so many people who dont have any complication and tbey have very fast weight loss. Good luck with your decision.

CONGRATS!!! It is NOT possible for someone to start out and your weight and lose that much and not notice! I agree boloney!

Baloney, boloney, bologna, bolongie! No matter how you spell it, that's one big bunch of hooey. Some folks can't help trying to bring you down. But in any case, you are doing GREAT! Eventually, your family will come to realize that you have been successful and will continue to be...whether they approve or support you or not...and that may take some getting used to. Sometimes it's just that people don't want you to get your hopes up too high and risk being hurt. In any case, you have serious reason to be proud of yourself. COngratulations! And...go to your local thrift store and buy something that FITS so you can show off! Maybe they aren't seeing it because you are wearing clothes that fit loosely like we all did when we had more to hide!

It shows! They just haven't got the perspective. I see someone who I don't see for weeks and they exclaim over the difference. The mirror looks the same to me.
I haven't lost a whole person yet. Maybe a large 4th grader.

Thanks everyone, i do wear loose clothes im waiting til i hit 200 to buy a couple cheap outfits. My family is all large and they dont like that im losing weight but im doing this for me not them. Its a long hard process but it is definitly worth it.
