This past weekend for Easter my husband, two sons and I went to visit my parents in Missouri (we live in minnesota). I have been researching about VSG surgery for several weeks but haven t talked to anyone and was wondering how i was going to self-pay for the surgery and weighing whether to ask my dad for a loan. I tossed and turned all night on friday night about how i would bring up tbe topic and while i was cleaning the kitchen on Sat. morning, my dad asked if I had thought about the lap band surgery - i was floored. That opened the door for a long discussion of the different techniques.
And today - my dad offered to loan me the $15000 for the surgery without me asking! I love them so much!
I am truly blessed!
May 22nd is the projected surgery date - just have to make the final arrangements. Move over and make room for me!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
