Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Once a month at work, our HR person brings in the omg...BEST fresh made donuts from a little local bakery here, and they had my very favorite kind. The kind you can't GET anymore because they're so bad for you, no place sell them. Well, I'm not gonna lie, I took that sucker and I INHALED it...and then I was literally nauseous for over an hour.
That was before my surgery, I can't even imagine how it'd go down now.
I too, try to have 'something', anything, ready to go for moments of panic or needing something fast. I don't enjoy being sick, and a LOT of stuff tastes so nasty to me.
I was really excited to be able to eat Peanut butter again, it's got a ton of protein, and I used to eat it alllll the time. NOPE..I get one taste and ewwwww...I'm so sad. I WANT to like it,but I just don't.
My silly taste buds!
