Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
When I talked with Dan I came to see where I was failing too...it works both ways. This was a tough year, so many changes...inside and out. I think some people feel left behind when we change so drastically...it's why it's so important to keep talking. Good luck.
You need to take pride if what you have done for yourself, and remind yourself of the journey to get there.
You are so young and have so much life ahead of you and you cannot go through life trying to think whether or not it is going to please or displease someone else for the life saving journey you have taken.
My son though he did not go through weight loss surgery, just broke up with his girlfriend. She could not handle him talking to other girl's (she was with a guy that continually went out on her before). He, is like you, a very outgoing person and grew up with many guy and girl friends. He said he does not have to stress everyday for fear he has done something to offend her. He is just
about going out and having fun, not getting into another controlling relationship.
Keep working on keeping yourself healthy, as you are still facing surgery right. The right person will come along when you least expect it and except your for who you are and the bonus is they have a new healthy you!
