at least with RNY trust me....its the way your innard DONT process the food thru the large intestines...it pretty much goes straight to the small...i was warn about this...now you are too lol...ladies...if you go poop in a public place or in your office pack a little purse size spray bottle of fabreeze or something like it...guys...do whats called a courtesy flush...as soon as the "train leaves the station" so to speak...FLUSH!!!...yeah as you get older we all get walking farts..again due to the surgery...just do like me a nd blame it on someone else lol....

I try to blame the dog but no one believes me.

Lmao!! Thanks for the laugh! I hve a bathroom phobia I can barely pee in a public rest room let alone something else since I've had this surgery I get so scared when I'm out in public :)

this topic is hilarious - I was the same way would not go to a public bathroom to save my life - but then I had the good ole Gall Bladder removed which left me in a bind, no sooner than I ate, I had to go. I got over vanity and caring with the quickness. Last time I checked that's what bathrooms are for - I just keep a private stash of air freshener on the job for those times and let it rip now. From what I hear and have read this surgery will make gall bladder surgery look like a wall in the part in terms of poops etc., so use wisdom and don't mess up an already sensitive experience. I read how Al Roker said he got caught out there at the white house and had to phone home for a change of clothes, that already has me on high alert. So I'm as ready mentally for that part of the journey as I am going to be.

Yea, I didn't know that surgery would effect gas I figued it out rather quickly after surgery. All I can say is me + Chocolate = Horrrrrrrrible smelling gas! I mean vicious potent could kill a donkey! lol

Thanks for the heads up all! I am preop but will now add some things to my emergency bag that i keep on me for work! Ps-matches work wonders for public bathroom situations.

A little over 8 yr out RNY and I still cant stand the walking pop's lol,when I'm at the stores and it happenes when ppl are in same lane and everyone startes sniffing and say what's that oder,lol i say ohmay did someone have accident and I leave the lane and chuckly as I walk away,And yes I try to blame the dogs noway will they let that happens because when toots happen the dogs run from the room,lol
Now this is funny,one day whole family of like 20 went to chiness restuarant and I was 1st one in bathroom and then my little niece came in bathroom with her mom after I left and she says stinky aunt margaret was in here,rofl that was 2 yrs ago when she was 5 yrs,and now she refuses to go to bathroom after me,lol,,,And yes the gas is so bad I have cleaned out a full room of people,and even at work at beauty shop I've cleaned out the shop*not good for business*but cant be helped.and omg the little sightly slips out omg they are so deadly and I just keep working.lol like I know nothing,;and yes I'm afraid to trust bubbles been know to have to go home and shower several times.
I keep airfresner in everyroom of the house now and even oin the 2 trucks and motorhome,

Thank you so much for the laughs but I have to say that I so agree I used to get so mad at my son's for letting it loose just where ever in the house but wow has that turned around. Now they run from the room when I let it loose because it is so bad. I get so embarrassed when in public. I was the one that would never use public restrooms but now that has changed I just carry disinfection wipes and gloves in my purse to wipe the seat before I sit, and I make my own febreeze to carry in my purse as well to spray and do a flush for courtesy, but it really smells.

I tooted in bed one night and it was awful, I faned my blankets to make it bearable. And 20 minutes later my husband walked in and it was still lingering in the room. Now that's bad!
