I am doing a lot better!! I am sipping, but if i need to get up 64 oz of liquid a day. I have long way to go. Do I need to sip every five minutes?

Tommie - my surgeon recommended working up to 64oz a day, recognizing that a new pouch might struggle to get that done at first. The first few days after surgery I managed around 32 oz and then worked my way up from there.

Sip as often as you comfortably can, but don't push it so you get nauseous again.

yeah i so agree with diana...do what you can but not to the point where its uncomfortable for you...you will get there

I just sipped all day an oz at a time from a small pill cup about every 15 min. I carried my shot with me and sipped while I walked. I never had trouble getting my water in that way

I never had problems getting all my liquids in...I always kept a water bottle with me. Hot, herbal tea helped calm my pouch first thing in the day then I switched to room temp water. I can drink it cold again, now. I

All you can do is do as much as you can but try to make sure you don't get dehydrated - i made that mistake, then i was so thirsty, i drank too much water and it all came back up with a vengeance.

Just sip and sip and sip. It really doesnt take that long to drink that much. I have a hospital cup with the oz and cc/ml on it and it helps. Before you know it, its gone.

the hospital started me out an ounce every 15 min then once home I was told to keep a water bottle with me all the time and sip on it all day till i built up.
