Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
It really depends on what the food is (density) as to how much of it I can eat at a time.
Ground beef just doesn't agree with me almost at all, chicken can be kind of sketch, etc.
Good luck!
My focus, when not on pizza, is proteins first, then veggies, then fruit or low carb something else. I usually don't get past the veggie stage, and half an apple is too much on top of a meal. Thankfully, I don't have to worry about hunger, and that helps me stay away from the sweets.
I typically eat between 1200 and 1400 calories a day, with protein levels between 60 and 70 grams.
If I want to lose weight, I have to eat 1000 calories a day or less.
I still keep a food diary. I track EVERYTHING using an iPhone app.
Hope this helps.
I don't eat pizza, bread, rice, pasta, sugar, flour. I try to avoid gluten. I still stop drinking 30 minutes before I eat and 30 minutes after I eat. I've stayed pretty close to the basics. Not saying everyone has to keep their eating this focused - it works for me.
((hugs))
