Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. I find it odd at the differences of doctors oppinions too. However I've not had any problems with any of the soft foods I've tried and I'm only 2 weeks post ops. But I can only eat about 1/4 a cup of anything at one time.
Good luck to you!
I am almost 9wks out, yesterday for lunch I had 3 scallops and a couple of green beans and I was done. They were about the size of a quarter. I had 4 more on my plate but decided to save them for supper.
The day before I ate almost 1/2 cup of tuna. It all depends on your pouch.
Good luck and just make sure it's one new food at a time! {{{HUGS}}}
