Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
My calories range from 600-900 with my intake of protein between 60-80g. My carbs are always under 100g,
I will be 16 months post op from GBS tomorrow. I have lost 152 pounds -- started at 347 now weigh 195 and still have about 50 more to go to get my BMI under 25. Lately I have been working out a lot and my weight is at a stall but I am pretty sure it is because I am building muscle, my clothes are a little loser and I can see some definition in my arms (If I ignore the bat wings flapping at the bottom!) I track what I eat in myfitnesspal and I am usually around 900-1100 calories per day. I want to set up an appointment with my nutritionist to get some pointers, I try to see her at least once every six months or so.
