It seems like everytime i eat, i get heartburn. Not severe but its definitly there. I am on prilosec, I dont eat anything spicy and chew chew chew, i dont know if heartburn is serious after surgery or not. I had ryn about 6 1/2 months ago.

Do you still have your gallbladder? After WLS a lot of us have problems with it. I had heartburn so bad it was maddening, I had it removed with RNY in Feb. its nice to say I don't have it anymore...Best Wishes

I think you should discuss this with your surgeon. It may not be normal heartburn, but an ulcer. Please have it checked out. :)

i only had to take prilosec for 30 days after surgery, i have not had any since then, and i had it bad before surgery. you probably need to call your doc.

I took omeprezole prior to surgery due to GERD. I continued on it for the first six months after surgery at which time I was told to stop taking it. Within about 4 days I was getting mild heartburn again so I called the office and they told me to go back on it and the heartburn went away.

You should call your surgeon and let them know what is going on .

Please call your doctor.
I took omeprezole before surgery and stopped for a while. Now take it again. After surgery this far out I'd think you would be feelin great.
