I havent read that one but I did read the Emotional First Aid Kit for Bariatric Patients, I got the name one from a bariatric surgery site from my Doc. it was on the recommended reading...maybe I will go check it out...you have to be careful though, sometimes people write books and they dont really have experience besides their own story so it can be biased...Another good book I have heard of is the Succes Habits of Weight Loss Surgery Patients, that was also on the recommended reading...either way I'll go check your book out...Best Wishes

I haven't read that one. Pre-surgery, I read Geneen Roth's Breaking Free from Emotional Eating and found it VERY helpful. It isn't completely applicable to WLS patients, but it helped me address my emotional eating stuff.

Roth writes awesome books! I have several of hers! Had a eating disorder counselor hook me up with her books years ago... I think its time to dig them out and dust them off! :) Thanks for the reminder!

Haven't read it. Before surgery, I read "The Real Skinny on Weight Loss Surgery". It was written by two patients, a surgeon, a nutritionist and a physio guy. I found it very helpful in understanding exactly what lifestyle changes I'd have to make.

Right now, I reading Geneen's Roth's book, "Women, Food and God"

Sounds interesting.Geenen Roth is great -- I agree JJ!

I am reading "The Beck Diet Solution" by Dr. Judith Beck.

Although, I hate any book with the word "diet" in it. This book is great and has a TON of strategies that work for obesessive food thoughts and eating.

I also liked "The Joy Diet" by Martha Beck. She is my hero.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
