It went well.. Surprised at how little pain I am in but know it's the morphine. The surgeon has warned me it'll be worse before it gets better. Am so thankful not to have a roomate (yet?) and peace & quiet.
My boss (who is becoming a close friend) thought he'd be funny & told the nurses I need a "do not disturb" sign and a "no hugs" sign on my door. It was comical, the room full of nurses' with confused looks questioning me if that's what I really want! :)

For other incoming newbies:
Check your pain mgmt plan with your surgeon and Anesthesologist THE MORNING of surgery, if you are scheduled to have a pump. Mine did not get ordered!
I had a great staff who were incredibly professional and made me laugh. I was not in pain but in terrible discomfort b/c of the gas pains.
Everyday will get better. Take it slow and enjoy your new lifestyle.
