Turkey, especially the breast can get very dry and very fibrous and hard to digest. If you eat the dark meat, it's much easier to digest. When I eat meat, I always take a small sip of something to drink in between each bite. Just to wet it down. I'm sure it's hard being around all of those foods during thanksgiving and I wish all of you the best. Lord knows that I couldn't be around my families mashed potatoes with sour cream, a couple of sticks of butter, and definitely could not do without pecan pie. So that's why I decided to take a trip to Europe. I'm sorry you're having such a hard time, but wish you the best. Our systems are different. I've been a vegetarian for many years about 95% of the time, but now I find that eating chicken breast digests easier than vegetable protein products like Morning Star. It's all a new road, just have to see what you can tolerate. Best Wishes.

Yeah, I found that breast meat didn't go down easy so I stuck with the dark meat. A little sf cranberry sauce on it helped too.

So sorry you had a difficult time, by next year it should be so much better, I worked like a crazy person serving and cleaning as well, I think it helped me not to take bites and tastes thankfully. I did eat a tiny bit of everything I really wanted, and it turned out great, so maybe by Christmas you will be able to do the same. Big picture--it's only 1 day and this journey lasts a lifetime!
