Your nutritionist should be able to guide you best. I would say eat as healthy as you can and be sure to measure, the last thing you need to do is dump, that would ruin your day. Hope you have a great time and dance the extra caloires off at the wedding!

My belief is that one side step will not "hurt" you. However if it "triggers" old habbits it will. I am a very realistic post surgery loser. I do side step from time to time and have found that it sometimes hits my triggers. I have learned however how to get back on track fast. To date since surgery I have not faultered to the point of gaining more than 2 lbs and managed to loose it the next week. Those 2lbs could have been normal fluctuation also - who knows. What I'm trying to say is be careful!! I don't know how far out you are but be careful!! It's a slippery slope. What ShelleyNY says is very true... You don't want to try a new food at the event.. It may make you sick and embarrass you more than just telling people your not hungry at the moment. You can also tell people oh yes I just had that it was fantastic.... Do alot of mingling and talking. If they have a bean dip well that is ok eat it without chips - use a fork or a spoon. I personally love refried beans. Your pouch is so small that you can't eat too much to cause weight gain in one event but you could make yourself sick. Sooo again just be careful and eat things you have already tried. :)
Not trying to lecture just the voice of experience. I tried to eat a hard boiled egg for the first time in the back seat of a car on a long ride. It was not pleasant nor was it an enjoyable ride for any of us... Talk about embarrasing and painful!!

Eat your plan choices before you go and pack a insulated bag with a RTD protein drink for back up. It is highly unlikely that there will be something there that will be doable at your stage. To chance it is to chance the possibility of being sick and really messing up your day. In a week or two you will more than likely be able to eat something available at a venue if prepared low fat and no sugar. d

I think that we can make healthy choices, but we do not have to feel deprived at special events as long as those events do not happen daily. haha. You do need to be very careful because there are hidden sugars and fats in many foods and you do not want to feel ill at a wedding. Spending your time in the bathroom is not fun!! Try to focus on some of the non-food activities and just try to stick to the better choices. You could take some food home and freeze it for another time when you can have more variety if you are really feeling the need to try something off plan. However, temptation will always be there and you have to make the choice to get healthy and if that means skipping out on cake or something than do it. It really does not taste as good as you think.
