Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Food s that come to mind that MIGHT work for you are cottage cheese, stick cheese, beans (especially refried with some salsa and cheese on top which can also allow you to feel like you're eating a little "junk food" o r fast food..but usually is tolerated well by many.
Some can eat hard boiled or scrambled eggs. Others find that nauseating...you will know. Even at 27 months post op, some days I can handle eggs just fine... other days...no way.
If you have found a combination for protein shakes, I find they are great breakfast or dinner ideas. If you need any suggestions on frozen type (adding ice to blender). Eggface has many ideas on her website. I have a chocolate one I have most mornings, even now, for breakfast. Gets plenty of protein and I tolerate it well. Good news is these shakes can be made not just with milk, even low carb doesn't work for some, but soy milk, or my new favorite, Almond milk. Feel free to email me if you want more thoughts on what works for me in shakes. I still find them a good staple.
Hope that helps.

I"m also still struggling to find a protein that I can tolerate. If I don't find some nourishment soon I'm going to be in big trouble.
