Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I had an almost identical experience! No joke. The first day of surgery was quite painful but I managed. I was up walking around and thought I was doing ok. The morning of pod 2 I got up cuz I thought j had to poop and started hemorrhaging. I was put in the ICU and given a bunch of fluids and tests. I ended up receiving 2 units of blood as well and my hemoglobin was still only 9.8 when I was discharged. I continue to bleed out the remaining blood in my gut and I can't stop farting!! They stink like blood so bad. Sorry anyone if that is too much info! We were the lucky 1-2% who had this complication. Very scary experience!
Take good care and let us hear from you often. I hope to be posting again at least by Tuesday.
Rest sweetie and continue to heal your body. We'll talk soon. Hugsssssssssssss
