Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
For me, the pre-surgery liquid diet was the hardest part because without the physical changes that surgery makes, it was possible to cheat. But I didn't. You can do this! The pre-surgery diet helps to shrink your liver, which can obstruct the surgeon's view and access to your stomach during surgery. It's really important that you do this.
You may have a headache during the first few days while your body starts to detox. Be strong and hang tough! :)
You will be great!
