Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I am sure you have, but if you haven't you might want to see your Dr to do a broader panel, not a normal Chem 6 or 12, they have broader panel that check for other deficiencies.
You mention your gall bladder, I do not have one of those anymore. I do have the diarrhea, but I have IBS and issues with keeping my good bacteria being good in my gut, but I have had that since I was a child. You might want to get your gut checked for bacteria sometimes that can cause issues. I find when my stomach acts up that my energy goes down, there is just something about it. My IBS gets better when my stress is better, but its hard to control with my job, its just high stress and I try to deal with it as best I can. I think sometimes I make it worse by worrying about it. My job requires me to visit people in their homes, and I just worry I will have a bathroom emergency there and you can't ask them to use theirs, its just horrible sometimes. I do take a lot of different kinds of probiotics, Culturel is the best for me. I take that once a day, and eat yogurt/drink probiotic yogurt. Eventually it stops working and I have to move to something else. The main thing I would find a good gastroenterologist, and discuss your concerns with them to see if they have any good suggestions, if you have not already.
Good Luck!
It sounds like you should see your surgeon for a complete blood work-up. What you are describing is not usual. It could be a vitamin deficiency or something else could be going onbut you shouldnt accept it as normal. Please let us know what your surgeon says!!
