I have just felt compelled to comment since Becca started this exercise thread/s and think it is great to be accountable here and also interesting to read what others do to get in their exercise for the day. I also wanted to tell those of you who aren't doing a lot due to joint issues, pain, etc that any extra physical exertion is exercise. Don't feel bad when others are running marathons or doing hours at the gym. If you move more today than you did yesterday, you are improving your health. It really is baby steps. I never moved at all 3 years ago when I began this long journey to weight loss. It started with a walk around the block, then each day it got a little longer. Sometimes I really have to push myself but I find that when I am out walking I push myself a little further by rationalizing that I am already sweating and out there, why not do another block. I also mentioned a pedometer as a motivator. I am pretty competitive so I wanted to do better each day, each week etc. So take those extra steps, park a little farther away at the store, use the bathroom upstairs, move your arms and legs while on the couch, get an exercise ball and just sit and use those core muscles. It all counts and will lead to more. Kim

Giving you an electronic "High Five!" Very positive way to think. Every little bit counts!

Very inspirational.. Thank you for sharing... I have slacked off on my exercise to be honest... But I am working and I walk all around the store for hours.... And I have found that I like the thrift stores, so on my days off I tend to go shopping by myself.... I like walking the mall as well... Seven months ago, I huffed and puffed just walking downstairs in my own house... Today I can do so much more and it feels wonderful...

Yes!! I so agree! Any movement we do today will help get us where we want to be tomorrow!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
