I just had one done a couple lf weeks ago, and another done 3 years ago. It is a peice of cake. :) you will be foggy all day after, and just want to sleep. The drugs take you down. Whatever they used on my first one, my husband took my put to eat after, and then to a few stores, and I have no memory of it! Haha. Yes your throat will be sore. Ever have tonsillitus? Kind of feels like that coming on. A little tylenol helps, and cold drinks. It is not bad at all. I don't know about the spray, nothing I have ever discussed or needed I guess. But all in all, this is an easy process and you wont be any worse for wear when it done.

My phone is giving fits tonight, I lost my cursor on the last post. But anyway, relax, it is simple and quick. In and out. Is this preop or post op? Mine found some small ulcers that we are treating, and he stretched the stricture out some for me.

I never know what to say at the end of these posts. Lol. Good luck makes it sound like something could go wrong and you need luck. Have a good day, yeah right, in the hospital having procedure, how good can the day be? Haha. Off on a ramble I go. It's pre-op. He has all of his pre-op GBS patients get one.

I have a ride there, and back home & then I have someone that will stop in and fix me or get me something for a late lunch once i'm home.

You probably won't even need the afternoon care beyond the ride home. You will just be foggy, but not doped beyond comprehention. But yep, no need to stress. Peice of cake. :)

Easy peasy! I had to have someone drive me home... but they knock you out and I didn't remember a thing :)

Just had one on Monday.... Don't remember a thing... My throat is not sore at all..... I went to sleep and woke up having to go to the bathroom... LOL....

You will be fine.... I was a bit sleepy afterwards, but I am sure that was from the anesthesia....

When I had one, they just used a "twilight" anesthesia. I wasn't even groggy the rest of the day. And it depends on how big your opening in your throat. They tell me I have a cave and I had not soreness at all.

My then 10-year-old daughter had one a few years ago. She HATES needles, HATES things being put down her throat. But she did fine. Really a piece of cake.

Mine is on Friday, along with a colonoscopy. I hope I don't notice what they are doing and sleep well through it all. I had both of these done years ago and it went well then. All the best to you.

Ok, you were all right of course! IT was fine.

The drugs were amazing! LOL! I didn't sleep well the night before, so I was already tired. They gave me the IV, and next think I knew, I was done! I didn't even remember them putting that mouth thingy in my mouth! Slept most of the day, and my friend said I made no sense, when we talked on the phone.

THey found a few mild symptoms of acid reflux, and a hiatal hernia, but he said as long as the biopsies come back ok, I'm good to go for the surgery. I have a colonoscopy scheduled for August 7th.

My surgeon for GBS, said we are probably looking at the end of August for a surgery date!

I have both reflux and the HH. It did not matter as far as approval.

2nd day, I still was kind of out of it, and slept a lot today, but didn't get to bed until 3am, cause i'm an insomniac...and have sleep apnea.

throat was a bit scratchy today, but didn't hurt.

I'm sure tomorrow, i'lll be right back on track, and more with it!
