Unfortunately my relationship with my partner of 6 years has come to an end and I will be facing the trauma of moving out (my choice) and finding somewhere else to live.
But I am at a bit of a loss because I am, as most of us are a comfort eater when upset, or I should say I WAS a comfort eater when upset, and I just don't know what to do with myself because I don't have the desire to turn to food for comfort anymore.
So what do I do with myself? Where do I go for comfort now? I have good friends and family for support but I am sure you all know what I mean when I say the comfort food gave me is a completely different feeling to support a friend can give you as sad as that sounds.
I suppose what I am trying to say is that I feel that I have not only lost my best friend in my partner but also my best friend that I had in food.
Feel like I am walking around lost at the moment.
Sorry if I am rambling, but wondered if anyone had experienced the same thing.
And it is true what Bridget Jones said..when one aspect of your life falls in to place and is going well, something else is going to sneak up and bite you on the bum and go pear shaped!

I've been struggling with my inability to self soothe through food. Last week I was so upset because I had lunch with 2 of my best friends, and neither one said anything about my weight loss. I drove to the grocery store and spent 30 min in the candy aisle reading labels... but I left there empty handed! It's hard, but we can get through this. Stay strong!
