Is anyone having problems with gas??? It seems I always have to pass gas...and i mean always. my husband and my son just laugh at me, but it is embarrassing!! Is it the protein??? I have an office job, so I can't sit at my desk and fart all day long, so then I get gas pains until I can relieve the gas!! Is there anything I can take, something I shouldn't be eating that is causing it...HELP!!

How far out are you? Gas is one of those things that we deal with sometimes...It may be that you need more fiber or need to try a different protein. Figure out what is causing it.... And you should talk to your doc and or nut. about it. They may have some suggestions.

I hate to admit it, but your post made me giggle....Maybe you should just sit close to someone you don't like.... :)

I am 7 months out and am actually getting plenty of fiber. I have had gas issues from the beginning, but it does seem to be getting worse.
Glad I could make you giggle!! And I do sit next to someone that I don't really care for, but I still can't bring myself to pass gas in front of anyone but my family!! LOL

I was by the docs office that I can take Gas-X. 2 gels twice a day definitely makes it much more tolerable for me.

Gas X is what I use cause i love love love beans and they are high in protein. Good Luck!

Probiotics! I stopped taking my acidophilus chews for a while and my gas got out of control. Last week I reintroduced them into my vitamin regimen and it's really gotten much better. Also try a yogurt a day, that will help - does for me anyway.

Also, I got 2 bottles of the acidophilus at Walgreens buy 1 get 1 free, it was $12 for 2 bottles instead of $24. I think it's for the whole month.

yes, the gas has never stopped with me. Poor lucy...

Yep I have the same probable and I work in a office as well its sometimes hard to control when walking to the bathroom, sometime it will sneak out . I cannot find anything to help it so far either.

Oh Newlife, I think you should let the evil out just a little and torture that co-worker you don't like...It may be satisfying.... Wait for that person to get up and leave, let it rip, then look at them like it is their fault when they get back to their desk, that the air is toxic! ROLFMAO!!! Oh my, please video tape it if you do that!

BTW - there's also a nifty product my nut told us about that's an 'internal deodorant' (LOL). Devrom (dot com) Doesn't completely eliminate odor, but can be very helpful.

I LOVE Phillips Colon Health! It is good for just about anything that ails you. I'm 4 months post op and this has helped with the gas, constipation, diarrhea, etc! It's a probiotic with fiber. I have noticed less gas than pre-op, regulated and balanced my colon.
Just a tsp of powder added to AM decaf coffee.

I use the Phillips brand of probiotics and Befiber in my coffee. Makes life a lot easier for me....and my co-workers. :)
Now I only have to worry if I push my luck with too much high fiber pasta.

Oh yes..... gotta love the Gas X!!! There are even days when I am so gassy and haven't even really eaten anything!
