I had that issue the night before last... I was crying in bed and the gas x strips didn't help... It lasted until around 10:30 yesterday, then OH MY did it "dump"... I need to figure out what triggered it. I think it was too much fiber.

It was probably stress for you as much as you are dealing with. I did not eat anything i hadn't eaten before. What a misrable night we had.

This might sound funny but the only thing that helps me in those situations is laying like a baby with my butt in the air. LOL!!! oh and sometime gas-X . I hope you feel better tonight.

Sorry you were feeling so badly. I do not know if you had your gall bladder removed, but when I had mine go bad I felt like I had terrible gas and pain for hours in the evening. It was very painful and nothing really relieved it. Just something to think about if you still have the gall bladder. I had to have an emergency removal a few years before I had my GBS. Hope you are feeling better. Take care

wow I wonder what triggered it for both you and Jenni...doesn't sound like fun. I don't keep anything on hand for gas, maybe I should? Glad your both feeling better.

I think sometimes things get lodged in the pouch in a certain way that they don't pass through as easily. I've found several times that I eat something and will feel strange and like I ate something wrong or too much. The two things I've found that help me are drinking small amounts of liquids over a few minutes and then laying down on my side, usually in a fetal position for me. I ate some watermelon the other day and apparently I didn't chew one chunk enough and it must have gotten lodged and it had me sweating and feeling like I was going to throw up. I drank a few sips of water, laid down and woke up the next morning feeling normal. Sleep is important in healing...all types of healing... so do what it takes to get your rest.

Hope you both are feeling better now.

Have you tried Beano instead of Gas-X?
