Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I never believed in diet pills even though my mother had me on them at age 11. The thing with them is you still have to watch your eating behaviors and exercise for results. and if you look in the adds of them they always say for there examples of betty homemaker loosing 110 lbs on it they state results not typical. we already have a tool its a matter of using it the way it is meant to be used.
Back in the day, like later 60's my mom took me to a "fat doctor" I was on Fasten and other pills of the day. I lost weight to my normal weight BUT! I ended up witha drug habit that lasted until I was out of highschool. Finally kicked the habit, don't ever plan to use a diet pill again!
And Ed... same thing happened to me when I was a teenager! I didn't get hooked, but after spending a week wired, and then realizing what was happening, I took the pills back to my doc and said I'd rather be fat than a addict! :) :)
Therefore, it's important to continue to adhere to your eating plan even after you reach your goal weight. Be vigilant about being fully present and aware when you eat. (I use my LoseIt! app to keep a food diary even at more than 3 years PO.)
If you continue with your plan, you will be successful long term. But it' ain't easy. It's not something you can just forget about. But it's doable.
