that makes total sense, I am glad you asked him the question. I have heard of some people having problems with dental post surgery I hope I am not one of those people. But honestly my breath is awful now and I find myself having to brush more then ever, which they also say it is bad to over brush as you wash away some of the enamel.

I was told by my doc that the acid does not come into play now until our intestine due to the bypass. That is why people who had horribly indegestion get such relief from this surgery. I was told there really is no acid in the pouch as the pouch does no digesting.

I have however noticed that I get a build up and bad breath when I don't drink enough water. I also chew lots of sugar free gum. It helps with the breath and helps keep the teeth cleaner.

Arentas81 use the pronamel toothpaste little more expensive but helps to keep the enamel on the teeth. I use it cause i have fragile teeth already and that is what my dentist has me using.

If you have a good flea market near you some times you can get it there in bulk really cheap. (and not expired)

My dentist also told me to be careful with chewable/liquid iron supplements as they reek havoc on teeth. He suggested I take that supplement and brush my teeth immediately and use a fluoride mouth wash.
