I had severe, excruciating pain, the last week, and thought it was my back. I had called the Dr on Friday, and no one would help me. I asked for a muscle relaxer, to see if it was a muscle that was strained.
so, I called 1st thing yesterday morning, and suffered over the whole weekend. Even my pain pill did not touch the pain!
I got in to see my Dr, and found out I have a bad bladder infection, was running a low grade fever, and she prescribed an antibiotic, pain pill for the bladder pain, and while there, I got some Lidoderm patches for my back pain!
I was so nervous, because I thought it was my gall bladder, and thought, "Oh no, if it is, that could prolong my surgery and I may not be able to have it as planned.
WHEW!!!! What a relief! Now, I am just waiting for the meds to kick in on Day 2 of being on the meds.
So glad my surgery is not affected!! Today I go to the Psychologist for my Evaluation, then next week a Colonoscopy, and my Last appointment at my Bariatric's office, at which time I should get a tentative date, and then it's sent off to get approved by my insurance!!

I hope the Lidoderm patches help you.. I never had much luck with them, but I know a lot of folks do....

I was more worried about it if I had a gall bladder issue, preventing me from having surgery, than I was about anything else, but the pain with a bladder infection is BRUTAL!!
I'm drinking tons of cranberry juice and water, I think i'm gonna turn into a cranberry, just like that girl on Willy Wonka, that turned into a blueberry!!!! LOL!!
