I am 3 and a half weeks and on what my doctors call a soft food phase ( which doesn't quite make sense because I can eat everything except raw veggies). My question is can we eat taco shells? I was planning on making the family turkey tacos tonight and don't know if I can eat the shell or not. My list of goods says I can have toasted bread, crackers, pretzels, and rice cakes....but nothing about taco shells. Of course I haven't tried any of those items because I'm nervous... Lol haven't even tried brown rice or any other carb.

If you're only 3 weeks out, I'd wait on the shells. You can make a taco salad though. :) I'd wait on the shells, or anything crunchy like that, until you're on regular foods. That's my strategy anyway. :)

I wouldn't because they are fried. I an 14 months out and still have problems with anything fried.

I have heard the corn is a problem on tummies.

I think it may be a little early for taco shells. My surgeon at my 3 month appointment said I could have tortilla chips but they made me not feel to well. Now that Im almost at 6 months and I have been eating rice and bean chips, They are thin and easy to go down. I have also heard that corn is not easy on the tummy. That being said, if you want to try it, go for it. Just be careful. :) Good luck.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
