Came home from the hospital yesterday. Surgery was on Monday. Monday was in a lot of pain..no pain pump had to keep asking for pain meds and they kept telling me it was too soon. Pain meds finally working (IV) in am on Tuesday but still felt like s***. Dr in Tuesday said it was difficult operation. Felt so much better yesterday than I do today. I'm hoping it starts to get easier everyday. Still having pain but meds help,but taste awlful.

Glad to hear from you and you are now home. I am shocked they wouldn't give you pain pump when in the hospital! I know every moment I was awake the first day and 1/2 I was hitting that pain pump button. The liquid pain killer, Loratab, does taste horrible. I couldn't tolerate it and they had to give me pain pills cut in half after they took the pain pump away.
Remember to walk rest and sip!

Hey Debbie you made it! that's the most important thing. Please keep moving, if not you could complicate things such as getting a blood clot. So congratulations are in order.

Jumping in with everyone else...sorry it has been so hard, just remember when things get difficult, they are the TEMPORARY roadblocks on the way to your goal. You will be healthier, happier, stronger, and without pain, and full of PRIDE in what you will accomplish. Hang in there and be happy, look at how many of us are rooting for you!

The worst should be behind you now. I know you wont feel like it, but move as much as you can and sip sip sip. It WILL make a difference.

Thanks everyone for your support. I don't know how I am going to get all the protein in when you feel full all the time but am trying to get a better mood on...took some pain meds around 6:30pm which has made me feel better. Thanks again. debby

Glad to hear you are home. Sorry you are in so much pain. It does get better and the more you walk the sooner you will feel the relief. Keep your head up!

I am so happy for you to be on the loser's bench!! The pain will get better. Stay on top of it with the pain meds. I think I was on them for about a week and a half.
