Has anyone tried or is any using Citracal Calcium Citrate + D3? I purchased the petites today, but wanted to see if anyone had thoughts or suggestions. They contain 400mg of calcium.

400 mg is for 1 serving...2 pills, right? I haven't seen any Calcium that has 400 mg for 1 pill. I took the Citracal for awhile. Now, I take some from my local vitamin store that have 1000 for 1 serving (3 pills)...so I still end up with 6 a day.

Yes, 2 pills equal on serving. Do you mind sharing the brand name you are taking? I am looking for different options.

I do the Chewy bites from Bariatric Advantage (http://www.bariatricadvantage.com/catalog/categoryHandler?cat=Bariatric%20Advantage%20:%20Calcium%20:%20Chewy%20Bites%20:%20Citrate&expand=1) and really like the chocolate chews. They taste just like little chocolate caramels. And I take two of the chews a day. I haven't had any post-surgery labs yet though (surgery was April 2011 so labs are scheduled for the end of this month), so I don't know if they are enough to take care of my calcium requirements, but I think that they should be.

I did try the calcium chewables from Bariatric Advantage, but I am not a fan. Huge chewables (quarter size around and almost a 1/2 inch thick) and very chalky in taste. Just couldn't gag them down.

The Calcet Creamy Bites are very good, taste like chocolate cake. They're kinda pricey, but they're Calcium Citrate.

I also use the Bariatric Advantage calcium powder in my protein drinks.
