11 Weeks out and had my gallbladder removed today. It was outpatient surgery so I am home now. A little more discomfort than the GBS but not too bad so far. Hopefully this will cure my issues :) I just wish he would have done it back in February! So frustrated to be going through this again just when my energy had been so good!

Wow! Out patient! Pretty cool what they do these days... When I had mine out, the laperscopy was still brand new... but I was in hosp for like 3 or 4 days!

I am sorry to hear that... I have heard it happens to lots of people... I am hoping mine decides to hang in there...

Awww, hon, I'm so sorry you had this right as you were getting stronger from the GBS! I had to have my gallbladder out last July but I was 2 1/2 years out. Fortunately, it was a pretty easy recovery.

its so strange...about half of WLS surgeons remove when they do your WLS surgery...mine didnt...so far so good after 5 years

I had mine removed last Monday, 15 months after gbs, and I feel AWFUL!

I'm still in quite a lot of pain, and eating or drinking anything at all makes the pain much worse and makes me nauseous.

I wonder why i feel so bad?

I had my gallbladder out in 2008 so i didn't encounter any problems. Some surgeons remove it at the same time as GBS but others don't - it depends on the the condition of the gallbladder at the time. Gallbladder surgery although done out patient can be more excruciating during recovery trust me I know first hand. But once the initial week goes by it gets better - you just have to adjust to things feeling a little hollow at first. Feel better and know that my prayers are with you.

I hope your are feeling good soon. My insurance wouldn't cover the removal at the same time as GBS, because mine was just full of sludge, but no stones! The sludge has given me a number of attacks over the past three years, thank goodness, none since GBS.

I had mine removed in 2004 and just had GBS.....I find the recovery from the gall bladder was worse....but honestly it will only last a few weeks as long as you rest up. good luck.

You will do good just remember to apply the same principles from after your gbs and you will do great I had mine out a year and a half before I had my rny so I didn't know those walk walk walk things.

Feel better soon. I remember the pain I got before they decided to take mine out was the worse I had ever had! I recovered from gallbladder fairly quickly but you are trying to recover from two surgeries - can't imagine! Just rest and you will be up and moving before you know it! Take care.
