Sorry to hear that your date has been changed. Sometimes things happens for a reason, just stay positive and focus and it will come. time flies by so fast that your date will be here before you know it.

I know that the time will fly by but it still bummed me out that I was so close and then it gets bumped back 2 weeks :-(

Yeah, that is definitely understandable. I am nervous because I am having surgery Wednesday, but have to get clearance from my PCP today.

Sorry to hear its been bumped but in the long run it give you time to be better prepared. Hope your work is able to adjust the schedule as well.

My employer has been very good with the enitre process. Never once gave me a hard time about leaving early or coming in late due to appointments. I tried to schedule everything so it was the least disruptive to work schedule as possible. I told my boss this morning about the change in dates and she was ok and changed it on her calendar and we are all fine.

The issue will be with my husband's employer. He really had to fight to get the time off for my surgery when it was September 12. Now he has to go back to his supervisor and ask for the the 25-27th off instead. He has been with is company for almost 20 years and never misses time, I think is all of the years he has been there he has probably only missed like 5 or 6 days due to being sick. Plus he gets 4 weeks vacation but they still give him a hard time when he asks for a day off.

That sucks!! I got a call my surgeon's office at 4:45 the day before my surgery (while I was in the bathroom from the bowel prep) saying my surgery was cancelled. I didn't get the message until after their office was closed and I was panicked! Cancelled? Why? for a day, a month, or forever??

Fortunately, it was just postponed for 1 day...because she had to perform an emergency surgery.

I was an emotional basket-case, but 2 1/2 years later...it's all good!

Hang in there...in the grand scheme of things, this is just a little, tiny bump!

You're right..it was good that they rescheduled you. He'll be more rested. It is a little bit longer but it will go by fast. Do you believe it is going to be September on Saturday? That is awesome. My date is the 17th of Sept. I love the fall. Well I wish you well. debby

I am so sorry to hear your surgery was cancelled... Hang in there. Yes, the time will fly, but still a bummer when you have planned and prepared yourself for that particular date. Thinking of you! Keep your chin up!!

I'm sorry that your surgery was delayed but I'm so impressed with your doctor. I've never heard of a doctor pushing off a surgery to be sure he is fresh and ready to go. Sounds like you have a good one!

I did not have to go thru that but my daughter is a surgery teck. She said I HAD to be the first on because that is the ONLY place to be. She said if you go into surgery after noon, your chances of compecations go up with each passing hour.
SO... sad to say, it is a good thing you will be first, just a week later. Hang in there, it will be over before you know it.

I really like my surgeon. I feel very confident in his abilities. He has an excellent track record. His name is Leon Katz and he practices at Crozer Keystone Medical Center in Upland PA

you will get there and even though its been pushed back a bit it will be better that your surgeon wants to give you his best and not just whats left
