I had to have the final test stuff today, and the white barium stuff for the upper GI is Nasty! I am still gagging 2 hours later. But I think I am done with hoops. Meet with surgeon one last time next week and sit down with the nut and then off to surgery. 16 days to go.....

you will pay a thousand dollars for that baruim drink after your surgery!
i was SO thirsty the next morning when they did my x ray and made me drink the barium stuff...mine though was a lemon lime flavor and clear like 7 up...it was AWESOME! even though in reality it was prolly gross too lol

Ewww...Guess that is what I have to look forward to in two weeks. My final tests are on the 30th and my last meeting with the doctor is the following week. Ugh...Barium again :( I thought i was done with that yucky stuff.... I hope I dont have to have it again.

Good Luck with the final appointments. I will be thinking about you on the 3rd.

so glad i didnt have to drink anything of the sorts half a bottle of citric magnesia the day before surgery and that was all she wrote - really realizing how blessed my journey has been. 9 days out and counting - best of luck to all of you who have finally reach the road leading into surgery. It is going to be such an awesome time for you.

Congrats on getting to the hoops... I am so blessed that I didn't have to do so many of the things that others have to do prior to surgery.... But I everything is worth it... And you will be on the loser's bench soon....

Although the hoops have been frustrating I am kind of glad that my Dr is not rushing to the knife and is taking the time to make sure that I don't have any side issues that might cause problems in surgery or after. I have be poked, prodded, and wire up to just about everything that I could be. :) 15 days and counting down.
