Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.

(((HUGS)))
Hang in there! Silver linings are ahead! Several weeks ago I was ready to pull the plug on surgery because I had such a traumatic day with one of my sisters and my mom...today my mom told me she was looking for a flight to come up here to help me recover...things do turn around if you just let God do His thang...I am so happy she is coming up I could just cry...I know she doesn't like the idea of surgery, and your friend either...but they haven't lived our life so they don't know where we stand in all this...
Keep your head up! God is smiling down on you, you have Favor with our Father!
BLESSINGS!!!
Tracie
I hope today goes better for you. I know sometimes you work so hard and don't think the day will come when you get that surgery date and insurance approval but it will come for you. Keep your head up girl!

RNY 11/1/11
Anyway, I saw someone tonight and told her- and her response was- Oh, I didn't know. My response was- I didn't tell many people because after the fact, no one will tell you what they might have thought about telling you before you do it. She stopped for a second and said- true ;-)
I've also had people tell me- I could never do what you are doing. My internal response- WHAT????? You weigh 120 pounds, of course you could never do what I'm doing!! That's the part that they don't get.
I was always, always, always hungry before RNY. At just over 4 weeks out, I am hungry only when I am hungry.
Like others have said- be true to you. This is really about you, you, you. While it sounds like you have great support and loving people in your life, only you can make this change for you.
Stay focused on you. Sending you a big hug.
Sally the cat ;-)
