I go on Monday for my post op appointment, but wondered how soon after surgery, that you started taking BIOTIN??
my dr's office doesn't want me starting my vitamins until my 2 week post op.
But I wondered about Biotin. I can call them, but wondered what all of you experienced.
I start soft foods today!!!!!!!!! Can't wait....want some tuna or egg or chicken or cottage cheese to see what "sits right" in my new pouch!!!

I started taking Nature's Bounty Hair, Skin and Nails formula (which is Biotin plus a bunch of other vitamins) about three months out, when I started to lose my hair. I think it really helped. My nails were never as long or as strong.
At almost a year out, I don't need it any more.
I just didn't want to not be taking it now...I bought some really cool shampoo with some really natural ingredients, like egg whites, and stuff, LOL!! ...Thought since I'll be saving myself on food, I'd buy something "special" for myself in the bath and body section.
