there's a lot of good protein products around I use protein candy bars at Wal-Mart . There are Greek yogurts that have a lot of protein in them too.
I hated all the protein shakes and drinks I tried, and milk no longer tasted good.
After my surgery, I lived on soft eggs, cottage cheese and yogurt in the soft stage, and found that I liked pureed meats. I'd brown ground beef, turkey or pork, flavoring as I wanted, taco, chili, Asian or Italian seasonings, then I'd puree it with a little salsa, broth, sauce or milk.
Even after I was able to eat real foods, if I worried about getting my proteins in I would fall back on pureed or ground meats because I could eat more, compared to chicken breast, or a pork chop, or even fish. And since I was getting my proteins in, I was staying full longer, so being able to eat more didn't translate into more calories. I didn't need to snack. Maybe that might help, unless you like the protein drinks.
Some people just lose slower... but if you are low on protein, that could be one reason why. So getting that back up might help!
:)
I have seen my protein go up slowly, then I should start shedding - I want to lose 50 more and I'll be at goal :)
As Becca said, protein is key! Stick to the basics and you'll get to the healthiest version of you. Totally worth it!
