Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.

Wake up each morning and say, "This is a new day, and today i will be great!"
Keep us posted. Stay strong!

It sounds like you are reliving your previous losses too. That's a heavy load to bear. I'm sorry you have to go through this. Please keep on sharing here and find a good listener or counselor to help you process all of these emotions.
Perhaps it is possible to work in some healthy de-stressors into your day: a brisk walk, laps in the motel pool, prayer or meditation in a park or chapel....
Sending healing and peace to you and your family.
I am proud of you! You came to realize the weakness and stress of life and food. You admitted the reality of eating and admitted the fact that you are back on track.
All of us struggle with food and learning to live life from pre- to post- GBS. Try not to focus so much on the 30 pounds, but more on small incremental successes you have had.
The best partabout the losing weight is that we always can start over on the next meal.
Be proud of your effort and look for victories that are not necessarily seen on the scale.
Yea for you!
In the midst of so much, you are actually do pretty well. If you have to break your presurgery diet, that lean chicken was a good choice. If you break it, just get back on it. One slip up does not undo everything at this point.
Of course in the week before surgery and the day before surgery you want to be very careful.
That is somewhat good news for you and MIL (mother-in-law). Take care,
Sharman
