Absolutely. Got to goal at about 7 months - well within 1 lb., which I can't seem to get off. But I am happy, happy, happy.

I had Rny gastric bypass 14+ mos ago. My first inclination was for the sleeve but, Medicare did not at the time approve that procedure. I was wary of rerouting my plumbing. I have lost 115 lbs and am still a work in progress. I have no regrets regarding the procedure I chose and actually it was the right one for me as I left the hospital off of the 3 type 2 diabetes med I had been taking for over ten years. I have had not complications or major issues. My bariatric surgeon and his staff are excellent and supply first class care both pre and post op. RNY ALL THE WAY! Totally happy! No regrets. No complications. as heavy as I was with the bmi I had that rny was best. I had 53 bmi and 170+ lbs to shed. I knew the sleeve wouldn't be restrictive enough for me. Rny took my sugar addiction away!

I hand RNY 8 weeks ago and I'd do it all over again if I had to. I'm so happy, I've lost a total of 41 lbs, and within 48 hours of the surgery I no longer needed insulin for my diabetes. I feel fantastic. I agree with Lcat4, I didn't choose the sleeve because it isn't restricitive enough for me. And i"ve heard of to many complications with the lap band, so RNY was the way to go for me.

I had the gastric bypass RNY and I am so happy with the results. My dr. said it would be the best for me. However, since I did not have any of the other surgeries, I can not speak for how I would have liked them. All I know is that I am still losing and it is not a total struggle to lose. I am happy!!!

I had RNY and would choose it again. Although the sleeve sounds appealing to me on many levels, I wanted the strongest tool possible.

Had RNY almost 3 years ago and I am extremely happy to be living a healthy lifestyle. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I had the sleeve on June 5th and it was absolutely the best thing I've ever done for myself. My life is better than I ever imagined. For once I am actually seeing results. I am nowhere near my goal yet, but I can actually see me reaching it where I couldn't with any other program I had tried before. I would not change anything : )

I had the RNY GBS and I have no regrets whatsoever. :)

I had RNY 11 months ago and never looked back! Like JJ, I needed the strongest tool possible. I was really happy with the added "benefit" of dumping syndrome with the RNY surgery. So happy with my decision and my changes!

Never imagined in my wildest dreams I would go from pushing into a size 24 to a comfortable size 8! I was HOPING for a 14. I can not remember when I was below 200 lbs and I'm just below 170 now!!!
It's so freaking awsome!!! Happier than ever.

I am VERY HAPPY with my Sleeve surgery and the progress thus far (June 5, 2012 - 41 lbs). Sometimes, I wished I had gone ahead with the RNY after reading the post about all the high weight lost.. But I was a chicken about my intestines being rerouted even though you lose the most weight faster with this surgery. On the other hand, I am happy I stuck with the Sleeve. I have not had ANY problems AT ALL with my Sleeve and who knows, I may not have had any problems with the RNY but now I will never know am I am fine with that. I honestly believe I made the right choice for me. Good Luck!

If I had to do this all over again, I would probably choose the RNY since I'm feeling like the Sleeve was a breeze for me.

I am now looking forward to more weight loss and a healthier me!

I had the RNY bypass done two weeks ago and I would do it again in a heart beat. I am Down 18 pound. There are a lot of restrictions and my body can't handle eating things the way I used to. For me I needed this. I needed to lose the ability to choose what I eat. I cannot control myself so this is what's keeping me in control. Hope that made a little sense.
