Well as I said I have lost 25 of the 30 lbs that I must loose prior to seeing the great and powerful oz (the surgeon). Who ho! No for ever one step I take forward I seem to have to take three back! Here is the story... I had to see my medical dr once a month for 6 months to each my wt and discuss diet and wt loss. I only have one visit left it was last Friday. I had to reschedule due to my mother in laws heart attack. So I got to see the nurse practitioner when I go up I had a lot of pain over my left kidney and it got worse, I almost thru up two different times.I took a vicoden. I got in my car with my jug of water, a bucket just in case and my cell phone, on the way I called my husband telling him I couldn't take this pain! by the time I was sitting in the office the pain had gotten better, told her about the pain but said the meds seem to be helping. She said how great I must feel getting. 25 lbs off, and I was cheerful back but started rocking in the chair, we discussed my pain coming back, I did a urine test positive for a bladder infection but at that time I was dripping in sweat, she ordered a stat cat scan and a KUB (x-ray of the abd and pelvis). In no quick time at all I found there were no kidney stones and I was okay to go home. We went to the ER for pain meds but they were busy, so I said let's go home and if it doesn't get better then we will go back to the ER. I went home, got in bed and took pain pill and started my antibiotic. the nurse from the dr called back said the ct. and KUB showed no stones but positive for bilateral Ovarian Cysts and I would have to follow up with my gyn. The pain got much better when I payed down. Fast forward to today...... My Dr called and said that I have to get more test tomorrow the the cysts are called complex masses the one on the right side is 7cm and that looked to be on my overy but the other one is 16 cm and is in the middle of my abdomen. She says if they are ovarian I will have to see an gyn/oncologist wright away and have them removed prior to any gastric bypass sx . What more she said them calling them complex masses and not ovarian cyst is concerning to her! What the heck! I am a nurse and I know that mass is very concerning and one is 6.5 inches! I am scared! And what do I do about my upcoming appointment with the all powerful oz! My dr said I will probably have surgery within a week! I want gastric bypass so bad and I feel I have yet another thing de- railing me! Sorry about the vent, I am angry. I will have to once again pull my self up and get to work again. I think recovery after a hysterectomy is about 6 weeks so maybe I still have a chance!
No more fear of a late life baby surprise). The HRT has been wonderful. Scary month or two before the surgery, but totally worth it! I considered it my trial run for bypass.
It would be wonderful if could do a twofer...but it will still work out if you can't.

As for jj were thy able to get yours out laperscopic or not. The cancer dr and the gbsurgion are trying to work together to come up with a plan. So if both think the can do it laperscopic then that would be great otherwise it will be ope for both, and I'm going to ask him to remove my appendix while they are at it!
