Almost two years post op

This July marks two years post surgery for me..............I am hitting the gym 5 days a week about 20 min of weights and 60 min of cardio. I am 128 pounds down since starting this process. I have heard several people say to me-oh i had a friend that had that and they gained all their weight back.........................so irritating to hear.............I am not worried about gaining weight back it just seems like discrediting all the hard work I am doing and have already done.


Just wondering how other people are doing at the same point post op.........anyone????

I'm almost 19 months PO, and I'm learning to maintain. It's really pretty good. A friend told me that she thinks I obsess over my weight. But that's because I weigh myself every day. I have to do that to stay aware of the consequences of my choices. I don't see it as obsessing. I have to be better at being active. I admire your exercise commitment. :)

I am also 2 years in July, I'm pregnant!

So weight lose is really not a priority.. Not gaining like a fool, big priority :) so far so good

Congratulations!!! I sincerely hope that I have your same attitude when I hit the two year mark. At what time frame did you stop losing weight? Just curious.

I don't like the comments about" knowing someone who gained it all back" or the ones I really hate are the "easy way out comments". There has been nothing easy about this

Hi congratulations on all your hard work. I am still pre-op but already I am getting comments like those...I say " yep everyone has a horror story" or " I sure hope it will be easy" Screw 'em!!

I cannot stand those comments of "they gained all their weight back" either. So, I will lean towards wonderful and inspiring success stories like yours!!!! Us newbies need all the inspirational stories we can get, cuz everyone has one of "those" stories.

It is so great to hear from you about your on-going maintenance. You are very serious about maintaining and it motivates many. I hear from many about the gaining all back stuff and you know what? It may apply to some but not the majority who takes this surgery seriously. So proud of your success. Take care, Mary

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
