Cramping after you eat? Can you describe what happens?

Mine was in January and for the past 2 days I've been having cramping right around the belly button area. It's like gas pains that don't go away.

Maybe keep a notebook noting when you're eating, drinking, etc. just to see if there are correlations with the cramps and to note if it's gas.
I don't know if you've got the same thing, but I had muscular cramps in my abdomen, sides and back from my weight being shifted on my frame, everything had to adjust to keep me upright and it put a strain on my core muscles. They eventually sorted themselves out, but every time I dropped another 10 lbs or so, I went through it again.

I experienced cramping at about 6 months out. I was under a great deal of stress at the time. I went back to the post op diet (liquid protein only) for three days. On the 4th day, I was able to resume "normal" eating after that without cramping.

I cant seem to find a correlatione between eating or drinking and the cramping. Its very random. Its just like a dull and sometimes sharp pain below my sternum. Ive definitely been more gassy since the surgery. Being a guy, this was of course great and entertaining sometimes. But the gassiness is to the point that its almost embarassing attimes.lol

Sounds like gas. Yep, I know what your saying! Constant tooting and at the worst times!

had something similar a few months post op. Had to start on a daily probiotic and after a few days it got better, but if I try to stop the probiotic it comes back. Dr. office said that I would probably need it always since I have a shortened GI. I also eat high protein greek yogurt everyday to help with balancing the good bacteria.

Don't fret...I too have had horrible gas. In my opinion, that should be listed as a warning in the brochure!

Gas x is wonderful . I have a friend she is 2 yrs post op she takes it daily. I don't need it that often but I do keep it with me all the time and in my car.
