Cause juicing takes the pulp/fiber out of the veggie... whereas blending say spinach into a smoothie (like I do now) gives you the full nutrients of the veggie. And of course fiber is oh so important! I can see not making this a habit long term (better to just eat the veggies as veggies), but in the earlier stages it seems like you could get in some fiber this way... Oh well... guess I'll re-ask my nut about green smoothies vs juicing :) :)

My great Aunt Bess...used to use a juicer and make carrot and celery drinks. She swore by them, and I had tried them when I was young. At that time, veggies were NOT my favorite, LOL!! And, I thought they tasted awful, but she swore to my Mom and I..."They are SO good for you"..
Aunt bess lived into her mid 90's, and was hardly ever sick!
Those were the days!!
