Thank you Krista for gathering us together and cheering us through the week!
I had my 6 month appointment this afternoon and got weighed... 142 pounds, down 3 1/2 pounds, woo-hoo! My pouch is feeing snug, my snacking is under control, and I am so ready for salad tomorrow! Enjoying my hamburger mushroom stroganoff and very pleased to have been a part of this adventure with all of you!
I did horrible on day 5 I was depressed yesterday.. a lot of reasons. So I ate and ate and ate some more. And some of my choices were bad :(
Over all I lost 4.4 lbs and I believe that I conquered the carb-snacking monster so all was not lost. I will start a modified version of it on Monday. I find if I eat food at lunch I want more food all day. So protein drinks breakfast, lunch and maybe yogurt and fruit for a snack and than a dinner. Should work.
Again.. thanks for getting this started :)
Congrats to everyone that participated and posted results... very encouraging

I also kinda slipped on day 5, but not in a really bad way. I crumbled when someone brought a bunch of fresh fruit to the office - I LOOOVE fruit - so I had probably about a cup of it and some dried cranberries and chopped walnuts. Not great carb-wise, but still healthy, at least. Bad news is this morning I was back up to where I was when I started - ain't that a bitch? I was down to 168, and this morning back to 171.
I'm thinking it is because I didn't eat much of anything this week, mostly liquids and a solid dinner, but when I finally did eat all that fruit it filled up my intestines and brought it back.. I dunno.
Oh well, I'm making healthier choices anyway, and am also planning on being more carb-conscious. I'm cooking some chicken, spinach & broccoli in the crock pot as we speak - looking forward to tasting it, it sounded really yummy. I found a couple of recipes on sparkrecipes.com and merged the parts I liked to make it good for me, and here's what I came up with:
2 Cups broccoli florets (frozen)
2 Cups Spinach, chopped (frozen)
1 can 98% FF condensed cream of chicken soup
1 lb chicken boneless/skinless (frozen Winn Dixie chicken tenderloins)
1/2 c. low-fat mayo - the lowest I could find was Hellman's light.(or FF if you can find it - my store didn't have any no-fat mayo)
1/2 c. Silk Pure Almond milk unsweetened
So far I put the chicken in the crock pot, threw the veggies on top of it, mixed the soup, milk and mayo together and poured it over everything, set the crock pot on high and am letting it cook.. fingers crossed it'll turn out great!
I plugged it into my recipe calculator and came up with this:
8 servings (I'm guessing - won't know for sure til it's done and I divvy it up)
Per Serving: 112 cal, 16 protein, 7 carbs, 1g fat, 1g sugar
Per Serving: 147 cal, 16 prot, 8 carb, 5g fat, 1g sugar

Krista
I did well yesterday considering that I left the house at 8am and didn't get home until 12:30am. It was a looooong day.
I volunteered at my old elementary school carnival after work so I didn't have the best dinner. In fact, it consisted of 1/2 a hamburger and fresh pineapple. And dammit, the pineapple was delish.
I am starting the modified version of the 5dpt to keep me from the snacking. So far, so good. I had one scrambled egg and 2 pieces of bacon for breakfast and my pot roast for lunch.
I finished the 5 days 3.6 pounds down and hopefully will be able to keep it off.
Great job ladies. Continue your successes!
thanks again
