It's so weird but I don't get hungry in the day until I eat. Then once I eat it seems to stimulate my appetite and I want to eat when I should be full.
I am thinking about doing this plan, Does anyone have the link? Hope
I have one each left - tuna and chicken, will eat that and mayb some yogurt today than the chicken dipprd in italian drssing and bread crumbs for dinner.
I was down another 6 ounces... for a total of 4.6 in 3 days... i love this idea.
I decided that I will continue a modified version for as long as I can. Protein shakes and yogurt an a nice dinner daily. This has really helped break the "snake habit" for me.
Thank you for getting it started... I am so excited that it is working.
Good luck to everyone
Sally
I feel like this plan was designed to change your mindset and get you back into good WLS eating habits, and it seems to be working for me. I've gotta make more of that Ham and Cheese soup!
Krista
On the first two days, I had coffee, the ham & cheese soup, sf jello pudding, protein drinks and water/kool aid. That's it. On day 3 (yesterday) I had coffee, the tuna patties and water/kool aid. No soup, protein drinks, jello etc. Today I'll have the salisbury steaks and of course the coffee and water (out of kool aid). I did drop 1.5 pounds yesterday, yay!, but I thought we weren't supposed to have the liquidy/soft foods as we moved through the week. Help?
Hugs! Patricia
I've just decided to stick to basics for a few days, soups and whatnot during the morning and late evening, and solid protein in the afternoon. I want to make more Ham and Cheese soup simply because it's good and I like it, and it's low-carb. I'm really going to focus on the low-carbs and see how that works for me. It's going very well so far!
BTW, I tried tofu hot dogs yesterday, took one bite and threw them away.. NAS-TY! The skin around it was so thick I could barely chew it up, it was like rubber. I was afraid if I swallowed it, it would block my stoma and then I'd be up a creek, so I spit it out and threw the rest of the pack away. Bleh.

I'm having a shake for breakfast as we speak and lunch will consist of a hamburger pattie and dinner will be salmon (yummmm). Tonight I also have my hydro-fit class after work. It is fun and hard and surprising to see my in public in a swimsuit.
Along with you guys, I am also going to stick to a modified version of the pouch test after this week is over. More solid proteins, fruits and veggies, egg bakes or shakes for breakfast.
It's so easy to slip into bad habits. This is a great reminder to get back on track.
Krista, I would rather eat a pound of sugar and deal with the consequences than eat a tofu hot dog. Icky!!!
Keep up the good work everyone!!!
I had to ride to lunch with a bunch of the guys from work today (4 of them and me). One of the guys said said, "Patsy can sit in the middle, she's a twig now." A twig? Whoda ever thunk?
Going out to lunch, I had milk and a sausage pattie. Trying to keep in the spirit of ground meat, that was my closest choice. I'll have my hamburger before I go to hydro-fit for some energy and my salmon when I get home.
Ha... a twig...
I had a shake for breakfast, a yougurt mid morning, cabbage and ground beef soup (it's much better than it sounds) for lunch and some SF pudding this afternoon. Tonight it's chili for dinner.
Walked 6 K after work.
So far I am down 3.5lbs but even better than that is that I don't think that I am as hungry -which is what I was hoping to get out of this.
Had a delicious piece of salmon for dinner, but I was not hungry at all this evening. It's such an accomplishment to have the munchies under control. I'm looking forward to a renewed consciousness about the grazing. I truly think this has me in the right mindset to keep it going after the pouch test is complete.
Got a roast cooking in the crock pot for tomorrow, also have some garlic chicken breasts marinading for dinner.
One more day, ladies, one more day!!!
Thanks for the heads up on the tofu dog.. I think I will stay away, unless maybe they are skinless, than I would try it :)
Yes Krista... it is changing my snack patterns.
Daphne... you are brave to start this on your b-day :) good luck to you. I hope you get people to join you. I would post a topic asking if anyone wants to start the 5 day pouch test.
Going to an arena football game tomorrow night, Orlando Predators Vs. Tampa.. the war on I-4. I can't wait to be redneck for the night. lol
Congrats to everyone doing so well on this, it's been a fun week, and really helpful to hear from others on the plan.
Hope, I agree with you on the not being hungry until you eat. The link is http://5daypouchtest.com.
One thing I did notice tonight when I ate my dinner of chicken salad with a little Dijonnaise for flavor and some relish (I purposely made it kind of dry at the suggestion of the 5DPT website). I think I ate maybe 3oz and a bite before I was like.. Oh man, I think I ate too much! Very uncomfortable for a few minutes.. I stopped as soon as I felt it, but it was a wee bit too late. So I know to eat less of it next time. It was much less than I expected, so I guess something good did come from this.

Started with my usual coffee protein, mid-morning crack, er, I mean 1/2 portion of Click, tuna-egg salad for lunch, ice tea with 1/2 serving protein pwd in the afternoon, and enchilada casserole (taco meat with some shredded veggies & black beans (needed fiber bad!), moistened with a small amount of enchilada sauce. I too have been more hungry today and have become painfully aware of how much grazing I was doing. I am committing to myself to continue with a morning protein shake, 3 solid meals, and 2 planned (and measured) snacks a day - which is what I need to do to be in the 800 to 1000 calorie range if I'm eating real food versus crap. Looking forward to fruit and veggies Saturday!
