Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
You already know this, but water is more important than food at this stage...whether you "feel" like it or not.
(It does get better!!)

I have felt the same way about food and have had to force myself to eat! It does get better! Please try hard to get in that liquid and protein, that's what gives you energy and ofcourse nutrition!
For awhile, I could only drink liquids that were room temp, if they were too cold, I would get nauseas.
It will take some time to develop a routine to drink and eat while at work.
Hang in there and trust the process! Your doing great!
It does get better, once you heal..think of it as the new tummy, getting used to food again, in small doses...it takes time, but eventually, that naseaus feeling will subside..and things will taste better.
The protein is so important, along with your water...Mix the protein in something, to disguise it, add a dab of peanut butter, or a piece of banana...that's what I do, with my chocolate protein powder.
There are a lot of protein powder ideas on Eggface's web page, to make it easier to digest.
Congrats, and good luck with being back to work!

Positive thoughts and doing things you love (other than food related things) will make you happy.
Re-read all of the things you wanted to do when you lost weight.
You're doing great.
Oh, and the head stuff... nothing to shake a stick at (as my mother would say...) HARD STUFF still for me at 9 months post op!
Congrats on your weight loss. That is wonderful. Good luck and glad you are back.
