I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 in the morning for my surgery! Have been working on it for 10 months and am excited and nervous. I know the Lord is with me and trust my doctor, but I think nerves are normal. I have learned a LOT on here already and look forward to learning and contributing more after I get home. Wish me luck!

Well this is my first day post op. I have gas pains, of course, and some muscle pain, but otherwise, doing well. Been walking around the unit and to the bathroom. Soreness is for sure! And I had a funny happen. My son that did not want me to do this is here. The nurse came in while I was totally covered and thought she was in the wrong room. Said she did not think I looked big enough to get this done! AND she had an uncle to die from having this surgery. He could not get his breathing right. That could happen from ANY surgery! Did not help my son to hear that!

Glad you're doing well, Sorry to hear about the nurse telling of her experiences, too bad you couldn't have given her a signal to "SHUTUP"

Every day gets better and better. I'm two days from being two weeks out, and I actually was able to put my socks on by myself this morning.

Glad you're here on the loser's bench! The fun is just beginning. :-)
