Hey all!
Happy New Year!!!
I am now 3 weeks post op, and I'm down 27 pounds!!!
I feel very blessed and lucky, as I have not had "ANY' issues with dumping, or pain, or trouble sleeping or anything!
I have been taken off my blood pressure meds!!! Dr cut down my water pill, took me off baby aspirin, and my heart rate and O2 levels are great! ( I have a visiting nurse come in once a week, thru a long term health care program that I'm on here in Syracuse, NY).
I have measured, kept my protein intake up, have stayed right to the program, and have had my 1-2 ounces per meal, and plenty of liquids.
I'm walking better ( I couldn't walk or stand more than 10 minutes, before surgery)...My pain level is DOWN, and I'm on 1/2 the pain pills I was on.
I have TONS of energy!!
TOday, I came back from my gf's house, and had to unload, all of my bags, food, rolling walker, 30 lb oxygen concentrator, bi pap machine, and overnight back, and still had energy to do it all!
Before, I had to have someone lift the concentrator out of the car, and roll it in, and lift it up into the kitchen from the garage! I did it all by myself today!!
I just know, that having this surgery, is the road to a better life, and good health for me.
At this time last year, around Jan 12th...I was in the hospital, with Congestive Heart Failure, on oxygen/24 hours a day, and couldn't hardly walk, and my feet and legs were so swollen, I had gained 30 pounds of fluid.
So, since last January, Pre-Op.....I lost 37 pounds, and kept it off, and then lost 27 since Dec 2nd, at my pre-op weight in.
For a grand total of 64 pounds lost!!
I can't wait to keep going, and hope you all have a healthy, and happy new year's day!

BTW, I'm off oxygen now. It only took a couple more days of being up and around (and at work) to get pass that O2 problem I was struggling with for weeks. Thanks for your support with that, it meant a lot to me dear lady.
